Do you remember

the first vinyl record you've ever owned ?
This is mine, think I was three years old at the time.

Once my mom taught me how to use the record player, I played it so much over and over.

My very first records were for my 12th birthday (1980), and they were 45s, three of them.

Rick James - Super Freak, The Gap Band - You Dropped a Bomb, and One Way - Cutie Pie
My first LP was Don McLean's American Pie. I had some kiddie records in 45 and 76 prior to that.

I forget which way round as I bought them separately, were Led Zeppelin II and Family's Family Entertainment.

Still have them but I have yet to even unpack the record-player I bought quite some years ago now, with a connection to allow copying to the MP3 devices current at the time. (Are they still available?)

Copying... hmmm not really legal, but I did not say I would copy the albums, m'lud.

@ArishMell must be worth alot of money by now or at least a desired collector item👍🏻.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@eyeno Quite possibly but I do not view them as investments. My beneficiaries might though!

The Osmond brother's, yep I said that out loud.
Never owned any until a teenager. My mom had records she played on her stereo record player. Her kind of music. Humperdinck. Polish music. I listened to the radio stations too. The big dial up to find them. Happy memories. The music on the radio sure made housework go more quickly.

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters think I got so obsessed with it because, I got to learn and apply what I was taught.

@eyeno I remember it from when I was a little boy

I don't remember my first 45.

This is my first 33 1/3 LP.

The first record I owned, my father bought me:
This is the first album I bought for myself:

It was by Dino, Desi and Billy. They covered rock tunes.
