Seems that vinyl records are making a comeback. Thank goodness I never got rid of the few hundred that I collected over the years!!

I'm fascinated by how they can capture a myriad of sounds onto ridges of plastic and can replay them all on one speaker ..

@SStarfish me too, saw a close up of the surface of an album recently and it looked like a mountain range…was amazed that all those ridges made all that amazing sound.

Still have all of mine. I just remember picking them up for a buck or less and now they go for $20-40 a pop.

Never went completely away over here, even in the 80s. I prefer CDs and files but like a lot of the sound of LPs and even 45s. Some LPs are going for BIG bucks, and not even collectible ones like the 1st pressing of Zep II, just desirable titles.
