@Dirtyboyy67 yes it was. And it's timeless

All musicians who belong to a label owe him and of course Prince a debt of gratitude for their struggle. I understand that the label is a big reason for the proliferation of the music, but it's still the artists who create it. The cut should be at very least in the middle. Unfortunately, the artists only get a small fraction. That's why Prince changed his name into a symbol and called himself a slave until his contract was over. ..and why most of his work was recorded but never released.
But yea, Terence Trent D'arby / Sananda Maitreya has got some strong pipes on him. I would have never recognized him without the braids.

@AngelUnforgiven he has been coming up in my youtube short videos now. I just saw a clip of an interview with him where hes got some hair. He was saying something about how Michael Jackson had squelched him back in the day, but by doing so possibly saved his life and made him come out with that stronger voice when he finally did come out.
He's an interesting dude. ..
Lol another act (and i do mean ACT) that has come up in my yt shorts is Milli Vanilli. It was a video of supposedly them singing one of their hit songs from back in the day. They didnt sound terrible, but they also didnt sound like grammy level artists either. Too bad there was no auto tune back then 😁😆 they definitely had the look and charisma.
I saw a long interview with the one named Rob (the alive one) a few years ago. It was a completely forthcoming, detailed story of what really happened and how and why it got so carried away. He seems like a very humble dude.
I never knew why they didnt just give the credit to the real singers and let them continue on. They were real songs, and won a lot of grammys.
I kmow they weren't as visually appealing. I think one of them is paraplegic, but still. It could have struck a blow for the handicapable.
I know thats an outdated term. I dont care. I have an adult son whos helplessly mentally and physically disabled and I never know what any of the politically correct jargon of the day is. ..you know why?
That's right. I dont care. ..neither does my son.. 😉
Have a nice day

@Jayciedubb i was telling my daughters about Milli Vanili just yesterday. Their song Girl i'm Gonna Miss You is on my playlist. It was playong over my alexa speaker as i was cleaning the kitchen. And because it was on the Menendez Brothers show and they played it at their mom's funeral knowing that they brutally murdered her, the song just seems eerie to me now. The death scene on the Netflix show was horrific.
