It's the official video for country star Chris Stapleton's current single.

Blues ain't country.😆

As to the video, I'm not quite sure what I just watched. Guy dies, figures out he's in love with this woman, it's too late, and then what? She dies? She's waiting for him on some kind of eternal dance floor that is his version of heaven?

@LordShadowfire I don't like the video

@SW-User Yeah, I'm not even sure how the video is relevant to the song. And this isn't the first time I've disagreed with an artist's choice of music videos. Some people, though they be songwriting geniuses, just don't make good video choices.

@LordShadowfire I don't know the background behind the video. It looks like he's trying to appeal to a wider audience or different. Sometimes the artist has nothing to do with the video, it's the producers for marketing.

@SW-User I was not aware of that. I thought they all took a more direct role in choosing the video.

That being said, with my sense of humor being the way it is, I was fully expecting the video itself to be about him haunting his family and friends, and then them joining him in a dance party once they got over the fact that they were dancing with a ghost. That would have amused me.

@LordShadowfire that would have been fun

@LordShadowfire That's prettymuch my takeaway from the video as well.

There is a real connection between country and blues, a lot of overlap. However, I wouldn't call either one. It's more like repackaged disco. So much of today's country sounds like early 90's pop; he just went back a little over a decade more.

@SparkleLeaf I've got a soft spot in my heart for southern rock and blues. Also disco and funk.

Mainstream country really needs to get out and experience actual country life.
