So I made my first 2 margaritas yesterday.

My coworker big Tina hits me with an order of two margaritas and gives me a look and I immediately go “no way! No way this is happening how tf do you make that”

There’s a recipe book but when I panic I don’t retain information well 😂. I flipped to the page and skimmed it quickly and went “yeah no, I think I’m taking too long to do this right now” and panicked even more. Classic me.

I pulled out a special shaker I brought from home that has special little measurements in it that ARE ON THE SHAKER and one of the measurements is for an “Original Margarita”

Perfect.

I followed it, measured everything up to the lines and even added something from the recipe book which was a little agave syrup and shook the shit out of it and poured it up and hoped for the best.

They ended up loving it and asked for a third, bitch the way I got wide eyed But I figured out why.

So instead of triple sec, I gave them Cointreau. And I also didn’t use the margarita mix they had in the recipe book. It was just our well tequila, fresh lime juice a bit of agave syrup and a more premium orange liqueur? Which is supposed to be upcharged but I didn’t know.

They liked it but I don’t think they’ll be getting the same margarita again. They don’t know it was made differently than how it’s supposed to be made in the recipe book lol

It made me smile thinking that for being a pretender bartender, they actually liked something I made.

I like it how you add that lil extra into your efforts. Just like that Slow Comfortable Screw Against The Wall I ordered a little back. Oh by the way, do you want the recipe? 😏
