She was perhaps one of the greatest entertainers of all time. Of course you may remember her hits such as [b]What's Love Got To Do With It,[/b] and [b]Hero. [/b] She had a distinctive voice, one that stood out over time. [b]Tina Turner [/b] dead at age [b]83.[/b] She will be missed. Comments. 🤔
Very sad, still processing it. I played the Ike/Tina version of Proud Mary a few weeks ago with a band. Considering what she went through in her life--incredible. Couple that with her musicianship and her amazing 80s comeback--she has no equal.
She was extraordinary — look at her old performances — no one did what she did. One of a kind. She really was part rock and part soul with a unique voice. Didn’t sound like anybody. She was fierce and vulnerable. She was sexy as hell well into later years.
And who else could have been the “Acid Queen” better than Tina.
An incredible comeback in the 80s.
(Her version of the Beatles “Get Back” and “Hey Jude” were also really good.)
@Human1000 Yes. I found out that she had the largest concert by a female artist ever. This was in [b]1988.[/b] It took place in [b] Brazil.[/b] Over [b]180,000[/b] people attended it there. 🙂
