My birds love to listen to music. I got a CD player so I could play CDs for them. If I go too long without doing it my female parakeet will yell “Play music!” So I will do it for them.

I can’t carry a tune to save my life but if I could I would sing to them.

@cherokeepatti You take such good care of them🩵

@kodiac They are easier to spoil because they give me some feedback on what they like.

Ok so does she repeat any of the lyrics?

@PatKirby I don’t think Kiwi does, I don’t remember hearing her to do. But one time I put on a bluegrass CD and Boo-Boo yelled out “Hillbilly!”. I listened to the entire soundtrack and there was only one song that had the word Hillbilly in it and they said it just one time. It was the theme song to the Beverly Hillbillies 😂. I started telling them I was playing the Hillbilly CD after I heard him say that. But he’s never said it again.

That's interesting because I looked it up and google ai said they do like folk/bluegrass and mountain music. And like humans they have individual preferences like classical, pop and rock.
