@Zaphod42 I've heard them before. Not my style but they are all on the pub jukebox. They're always playing oldies there.

@Zaphod42 I grew up listening to all the 60's and 70's greats. I heard a podcast a few years ago that Jim Morrison was a Manchurian, that he was deep hypnotized by the CIA to infiltrate the Hippy music scene to implant subliminals. In case anyone forgets, his father was an Admiral in charge of Naval Intelligence, deeply tied to the CIA.

@NativePortlander1970 Interesting! I know it’s blasphemous, but was never much of a Doors fan….two minutes of lyrics with a ten minute organ solo in the middle was a bit of a turn off 🤷‍♂️

@NativePortlander1970 It was the year Madonna released her "True Blue" album. I absolutely love that album. It has some of her greatest hits on it. "True Blue" itself is one of her best ever.

@Zaphod42 I love those synth organ solos, Inna Godda Davida's often puts me to sleep.

@NativePortlander1970 I wasn’t as put off with Iron Butterflies organ solos, particularly Inna Godda Davida… Those are actually fairly pleasant… But somehow the way The Doors did it just irritates me
