I Love 1950's Music

A Fave of Mine

This one has advice for the women. And really, for the men as well. And even though the song may predate many, it is a solid song. Sung a lot like Ricky Nelson might have sung it.

But it is the advice Frankie offers that is tantamount! And essential to remember. As true love finds all. We just need to know to recognize it when it comes.

Enjoy Frankie, before his fascination with Annette.

How do you feel about Buddy Holly?
I liked Buddy early on. Then not do much. All artists back then has slow periods and he may have been in one. (Dion, Ricky, Elvis, Carl) But , the tragic death of him and JP Richardson made his music larger than life. And I still think Waylon has a hand in killing him. "THat'll be the day" I love.

@Elandra77: "True Love Waits" is my favorite by Buddy. It's such a tragedy the way his life was cut so short. I don't believe he ever saw his son born. 💔 The song I just named he wrote for his wife.
@sweetpea: Hmm,,Interesting. That is a nice song. One Ricky did late in his career as well. I always liked "Not Fade Away" -it was almost an epitaph as if he knew he would not fade away. -or his music and memory would not.

@Elandra77: Yes, we have lost so many legends, but we will always have their music. 🎼💓
