I Love 1950's Music

A Fave of Mine

This one has advice for the women. And really, for the men as well. And even though the song may predate many, it is a solid song. Sung a lot like Ricky Nelson might have sung it.

But it is the advice Frankie offers that is tantamount! And essential to remember. As true love finds all. We just need to know to recognize it when it comes.

Enjoy Frankie, before his fascination with Annette.

I like that one as well. The oldies shows over play it I think. "Bobby Sox to Stockings" hardly ever gets played. I think a lot of teen stars of the day had a sincere and wholesome quality to them. Dion, Ricky, Paul, Frankie and Bobby Vinton for a few. I have found that lacking for some time.

But great post.

Thanks. You caught my attention a long while back on EP. Odd how souls meet in the least likely places and the fixtures and forces that bring them together. Message Personal is a "must have " Lp (or CD) for all. Francoise is that powerful on it. But I have never found a bad recording of hers.
How do you feel about Buddy Holly?
Peaches · F
@Elandra77: "True Love Waits" is my favorite by Buddy. It's such a tragedy the way his life was cut so short. I don't believe he ever saw his son born. 💔 The song I just named he wrote for his wife.
@sweetpea: Hmm,,Interesting. That is a nice song. One Ricky did late in his career as well. I always liked "Not Fade Away" -it was almost an epitaph as if he knew he would not fade away. -or his music and memory would not.
Peaches · F
@Elandra77: Yes, we have lost so many legends, but we will always have their music. 🎼💓
Peaches · F
Have always loved him❣
Peaches · F
@Peaches: It's scary how many went in plane crashes, Patsy Cline, Buddy Hollie, and so many more. 😕
@Peaches: Very True. J.P. ichardson (The Big Bopper) was also in Buddy's crash. Hard to know where he may went- or what he may have achieved. But you are right. So man yback in that time died of plane crashes. Bobby Fuller, of The Bobby Fuller Four died mysteriously-the report reads suicide- but that has always been questioned.
Peaches · F
@Elandra77: Just like JFK Jr., they say it was an accident, but I hear many didn't ever want him to reach the white house. The word is that plane was rigged to crash?!
@gallantio I agree. There is beauty in it's innocence. It is just a great "feel good" song.

@Elandra77: Me too! Sorry I didn't see this message sooner?!
@sweetpea: That is fine. We all have real life to live.
Peaches · F
@Elandra77: Haha, thanks for understanding ❣
I do too but I was a teen then. I was never too fond of Frankie or Rickie.
