I was listening to this today when I was working out. skip to 3:11

but it really hit me hard. Not even for the aspect of "working out" after the part where he talks about being consistent going to the gym. around 3:11 is where he says it.

it hit me really hard in general for life. I do exactly what he talks about. I avoid discomfort and distract myself or avoid it altogether. I especially do this with emotions instead of "doing the work" and dealing with them.

I'm not going to do that anymore. I want to be disciplined and deal with my problems. I don't want to run from them anymore. Running from them is just as painful if not more painful than dealing with them. I am choosing the pain that will be for my betterment of my life and for the betterment of the quality of my life

thank you joe for your insight

Haha...so true... and i think that applies heavily when it comes to personal fitness....i spent about 30 years goin to gyms and every new year we always saw the new crowd of wannabe workout peeps who after about 2 months were nowhere to be seen again, until next January... they were the "aw fuck it" ones..lol
