I Listen to the Same Song Over and Over
Yeah...three times on Saturday morning, and once on Sunday morning,
It's the theme song from "The Great American Hero"!
I know...it's a kid'a program, right? But the song itself used to be on rock-and-roll radio before the program was formulated.
I do moat of my housework on Saturday mornings. With this song playing in the next room on the TV, I can sort my dried laundry and make my bed in record time, timing the loads still to dry. That's the biggest job. By the time I am finished, the program and song are over, and it's time to change the channel.
During the early afternoon, I have gravitated to the kitchen. Time for the "Rawhide" theme song. I sing along with Frankie Laine as he warbles it.
Sunday morning. "Great American Hero" theme once more. Breakfast follows.
I feel a little bereft afterward, It's such a long tine from Saturday morning until next weekend.
That's why I can listen to the same song over and over again.
