Saw them often in very small clubs before they released their first album. They were a good solid Jacksonville band that had a lot of turnover In personnel. They do have a solid forward sound and I think you will enjoy the older band but I’m not familiar with the recent material.

I've followed them since 1979 and eventually got to see them around 2011. At the time, there was only Dave Hlubeck remaining from the original line up. Their first 2 albums are still the standouts for me

Well I've never been a real fan of Molly Hatchet but I did buy their 'Beatin’ the Odds' picture disc way back in the 80s because of the great album art

The original Molly Hatchet was really good. None of the original members are in the new version. The new version does heavy metal and I don't care for them. On another note a friend of mine cousin is their keyboard player.
