The Better Craftsperson #5. Alice Cooper

Vincent Damon Furnier (born February 4, 1948), known by his stage name Alice Cooper, is an American rock singer whose career spans six decades. With a raspy voice and a stage show that features numerous props and stage illusions, Cooper is considered by music journalists and peers to be "The Godfather of Shock Rock". He has drawn from horror films, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a macabre and theatrical brand of rock designed to shock audiences.

He has a long history of philanthropy and supporting charitable causes, notably the Solid Rock Teen Centers which he founded to help underprivileged youth. Beyond his own non-profit, he has supported numerous other charities including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the ANNIKA Foundation, and various artists' and peace-focused organizations. Cooper is also known for his personal advocacy for sobriety and his faith, which he has spoken about extensively, and he teaches a local Bible class.

Great find, Val70. 😁 And for those of you who have no idea what this is, except the youngins. For Shame!
I loved the entire interaction between Wayne and Alice. The fact that it was about Milwaukee, made me geek over it even more. Just an amazing human being.

Wayne Campbell: So, do you come to Milwaukee often?
Alice Cooper: Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had its share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers were coming here as early as the late 1600s to trade with the Native Americans.
Pete: In fact, isn't "Milwaukee" an Indian name?
Alice Cooper: Yes, Pete, it is. Actually, it's pronounced "mill-e-wah-que" which is Algonquin for "the good land."
Wayne Campbell: I was not aware of that. (In case the clip won't play for you)

@Levenrack Thank you for that. He's a real hero in our modern times. Perhaps that's what Groucho saw in him also back then
Yeppers. He's got a soul.
