@Sidewinder I don't think he was a one-hit wonder. Wasn't "Are Friends Electric" a hit as well?

@MaryDreamilton You are right, though I think Sidewinder could be in the US where Cars was really his only big hit. (So they are right also) Here in the UK "Are Friends Electric" was released when he was fronting Tubeway Army, which he soon went solo afterwards. He did have quite a few top 10 hits in the UK after "Cars" ..but not in the US.

@Belleinboots I've heard both "Cars" and "Are Friends Electric" on the pub jukebox loads of times. I was only 3 years old in 1979 so I don't really remember them when they were hits, but the pub jukebox is full of oldies.

@Belleinboots I'm from Canada and I first heard Cars long before I heard Are Friends Electric.
