Old screw, nails, razors

I have so many screw, nuts , bolts etc.. odds and ends over the years that I can throw out. They are still good but I will never use them.

Shouldn't we able to recycle them or donate them?

I guess there are metal yards.

Thanks this has been bothering me for quite some time.

It would be good to find new users for them.

Is there a local "Men's Shed", model-engineering club or similar social craft group whose members might be able to use them?

If they have to go for scrap, all metals are recyclable but it's a matter of what's available for that in your town. Here, our Councils run waste-collection yards to accept bulky household waste not taken by the regular street refuse collection service. They have large skips, one for wood, one for metal, others for cardboard, garden waste, etc. Anything like that local to you?

You could try a scrap-yard but you are unlikely to receive much money unless you have large weights of sorted metals.
