Ok, I will make a "confession."
During my first year of college (1970-71), the guy in the dorm room next to mine would stay up all night smoking weed and playing the Jackson 5.
The stench was so incredibly strong that I imagined he was like the guy in the movie "Reefer Madness", with 5 joints in his mouth at once!
And he played the song "I'll be there."
Over.
And over.
All.
Night.
Long.
This was not every night of course, but often enough that to this day, that experience is the first thing I think of when I hear the name Michael Jackson! 😂

@DrWatson The first popular music concert I went to was the Jackson Five, at the Cow Palace in 1970, I loved it and had a great time. Pop couldn’t listen to much of it. He said, "They have nice voices, no question. But a ten year old singing about how his woman left him ? Sorry, I’m just not sold !" 😅
