For people who witnessed the start of heavy / thrash metal

What was it like then especially with songs against the system like "war pigs" by Black sabbath or "peace sells" by Megadeath?
Did authorities tried to oppress the heavy metal movement? did sheeps try to protest against it?

And why did it stop? I don't find songs against the system these days except in some death core music

Man it was ruff as hell being a head banger in the 80's.
The cops would harass the hell out of you if you had long hair and wore leather.
It was nonstop.
I even got my head bashed in by a cop with his mag-light when I had handcuffs on.
I was in a band and we were playing a party and the cops busted in.
Right after that they busted into the band house searching for drugs and under aged girls.

War Pigs is a true evaluation of those who rule over us.Rather than draw attention to a truth,it is a time trusted method to simply ignore any such trruth, just like today.I worship "System of a Down" and they do exactly what the label promises.SSSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!|
