I Love Misheard Lyrics

Barbara Mandrell had a song called "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool." A line in that song is, "I'm just glad we're in a country where we're all free to choose." When a friend of mine heard that song for the first time, she got a funny look on her face and said, "Did she just say, 'we're afraid of Jews?'"

I couldn't answer for half a minute, all I could do is laugh.
