Chronological top 5 works of music

1. Bach's Goldberg Variations -- Gould's 80s version, he saved his best till last!!
2. Beethoven's Violin Concerto -- I don't think I have a definitive recording yet, there is one I return to, but i've not committed technical info to memory.
3. Mahler's 8th symphony -- it has to be the Solti recording, and I really like the first part and the finale the most.
4. Shine On You Crazy Diamond - I like the whole Pink Floyd album the most of what they did, but I wish the album itself was called Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
5. Satyagraha, it's tricky finding the right recording of this Philip Glass opera, an easy listening kind of opera ain't it? But for me there's a mystical connection between it and nostalgic weather ... when music is at one with nostalgic weather, it's an all timer for moi!! so i'll include it here only this recording, not that other one that looks like a Marxist designed the cover.
