The Focal Elegia's were $900 when they came out, and now they're down to 400 on amazon. They got great reviews even at 900, so at 400 they're a steal. I didn't know how much I'd like them being closed back but I've been loving them, it's crazy how nostalgic music seems through them. I highly recommend them if you like good quality audio, especially if you need closed back because of listening to music around other people. They're also very sensitive so they don't require an amp like most at that level, although they are more dynamic with one.

I got a pair of Steelseries Arctis 5 headphone/mic for PC for my birthday last year. I'm not really sure on how they stack up against Turtle Beach headphones, but my last set was Corsair, and the one foam thing that's on the ear just fell off.
I usually swear by Turtle Beach but the Arctis 5 headphones are doing just as well I think. Not really a big fan of RGB, the headphones have RGB on them, so I just have it set to a mid blue color that's easy on the eyes.
@twiigss my first gaming headset was a steelseries but idr what it was called lol. i have rgb ram and i hate it, i had it turned off but i got a new cpu and ever since i installed it the rgb software doesnt work with it so im stuck with it on the stupid rainbow setting lol. its so annoying when im watching a movie or something.
@twiigss ya my keyboard is too but i dont mind that since it isnt aggressive, the rgb ram lights up the whole fucking corner of my room when my room is dark lol.
@twiigss i hate it so much, i just got a better tv recently too so i like watching shit in HDR and it fucks that up lol. im about to just give it to my brother or grandpa and order another 32gb of the corsair vengeance that my other sticks are.
@Anon066 Yea, well I didn't know they put RGB on ram, that's dumb. I just got this new Steelseries keyboard, and there's no light ups for Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock lol. So you are typing and accidentally press on Caps Lock, and everything is in all caps lol. Only thing I hate about it, otherwise it's pretty decent.
It's membrane too. My Razer Ultimate 2016 was mechanical and that thing was freaking loud lol. It's like 5am and I go to type, and everyone else is still sleeping, so it's nice now cause it's good and quiet.
@twiigss ya my brother still uses membrane keyboards, he doesnt like mechanical. i had a super cheap amazon mechanical that finally died on me so i got a corsair one thats ive been liking so far. i actually liked the rgb ram when i could control it, i have blue led fans so i did a blue and yellow theme with the ram and an rgb strip for awhile, but that was in my old case that had a tinted glass side so it wasnt too bright. my new case has clear glass and now that i cant set the ram to whatever i want or turn it off its super annoying.
@Anon066 UGH! Trust me, I feel your pain. I got a case that has availability for like 5 case fans, one in the back, 2 on top and 2 on the side, they were all blue, but then I just needed fans, so up top is blue and white, back one is blue, but the sides I have off because it gets too hot, cause I need something better than a stock heatsink/fan lol.
I play games on Steam like Factory Town, omg if I don't run the little fan I have next to my open case, the temps go up into the 170 F degree range lol.
@Anon066 Well thing was, I only had enough to get the 8300, otherwise I woulda went with the 8350. But it's like I got a GTX 970, so it's a beefy system and does really well, but there are newer games that'll come out at some point where I'll just need a whole new PC but right now, I ain't got hardly any money for anything other than the immediate bills
@Anon066 PSU well it's enough to run that 970, 2 monitors, 4 case fans cause I have another case fan in the front lol, and maxed out the mobo at 32 GB.
@Anon066 Oh that's okay. I got my brother with all the stuff at his place actually. I built this PC, got everything from TigerDirect and he's got all the thermal paste he's been wanting to use lol. It's just a matter of me getting off my lazy butt to go over there/get in touch with him about it.
@twiigss i have a ryzen 3600 with bent pins im too lazy to fix, i think i have some extra ddr4 ram and im not sure if i have an am4 mobo or not laying around.
@Anon066 Ahhhh. Yea I'm not too keen on wanting to do that upgrade though. I'm a Windows 7 Pro user, but I started having issues where when you log in to a website, and you click on Remember Me, well I would be logged out of websites I clicked Remember Me on after like 2 weeks. Installed win 10 and the problem went away. But the Arctis headset isn't being recognized in Windows 7 lol. So am kinda forced to now use win 10.
This mobo doesn't have that chip in order to use win 11 so that's where I'm at right now.
Not looking forward to having to use win 11 either....
@Anon066 Well, once I got 10 to the way I want it, it's a lot better, but it still has flaws. I use what's called Open Shell for my start menu, and made my start menu look like Windows 95. Because that's what I'm used to. It never had to change honestly. And then I turned off all the extra crap they loaded on the taskbar, cortana, news, weather, I literally have it so it's just the basic stuff that is on the taskbar in Windows 7 Pro lol.
Lately I haven't been having too many problems, the screensaver would stop working, but that's been fixed (probably an update) and then here lately I'll get a message like, Malwarebytes is turned off. Like not all programs are starting up with Windows like they should be. But that's been ongoing since Windows XP.
@twiigss damn lol i dont have the patience to fuck with all that shit, i just deal with the annoyances rather than fix them. the only problems ive had with 10 are some weird bandwidth usage issues and network adapter issues, but the network adapter stuff might just be the motherboard.
@Anon066 Well yea, most software issues I really don't have control over. Those programs are marked to start up with Windows, but sometimes they don't. So to me it's a microsoft issue. microcrap can't be bothered to actually do real work and make their OS work right lol.
But yea I deal with a lot actually, but I'm like my brother, something goes wrong and if we feel intervention can fix it, we'll jump in and fix it lol.
