I get the spriti in wich it is intended.

@Amylynne Well, the difference is even illustrated in the 1949 movie, Neptune’s Daughter. Ricardo Montalban sings it to Esther Williams—and he’s a wolf. Later, Betty Garrett sings it to Red Skelton, and it’s just as obvious she means business. But there it’s played for laughs.
