“Shadow Dancing” by Dee Gees

a.k.a. Foo Fighters covering Bee Gees.
I was just listening to this song a lot lately. My sister covered it with her old band one year while using the Pepper’s ghost magic technique to project her silhouette onstage while singing and dancing to it. Literal shadow dancing, as it were.
Taylor Hawkins sang lead for that cover. While listening to that, I was just thinking of how he should really play a larger vocal role in Foo Fighters. At least one album where he and Dave Grohl share an equal amount of lead vocal duties.

Now that’ll never happen because Taylor Hawkins has been reported dead, found in his hotel room with the cause of death not currently known at the time of my posting this. I’m just shaken. I just had a song he sang on repeat not too long ago and always had an admiration for him, feeling he deserved more, only to learn he’s now gone.
