Agree 100%, and I love that song, it's so smooth, and catchy, exactly what a pop song needs to be, no matter what genre it is.

Eighties rap was good too

It definitely had it's golden age then. Now one must search for real hip hop.

I stopped liking it with the advent of "gangsta" rap and the "n" word in every set of lyrics. 🤨

i remember when it kinda made it's presence when i was in high school in the late 80s...like 88 and 89 when i graduated....most kids were either into metal or pop....one kid i went to school with started acting like some dudes from nwa...thought that was kinda weird for the times and my demographics...but it's all good

I agree, but it lost it's true street roots when it became main streem
