An appreciation thread for old rap/hip hop. I'll start it out

There are earlier artists, but I find this group embodies a certain kind of holistic approach in their rap, like bring up the gospel, respect it but say, hey I want to learn more...

All entries are welcomed, it's a moving target, so it doesn't really have a time period in mind.

Does shout bring change?

@bijouxbroussard Thank you very much. ❤️ I'm listening to them now, all but the last is new for me, and I can't believe I forgot them in my list.

I don't want to make this post political, but I feel for in my heart on this day as I know you are passionate, loving, and today would have upset you deeply. I'm sending you hugs in spirit.

@bijouxbroussard I'm loving the BooYah T.R.I.B.E song.

@bijouxbroussard You might like this, it's hard to know where genres overlap, how they influence each other, but this one sets a mood for me tonight,

Biggie Small speaks to similar oppression in his 'Juicy" classic.
As well as some of Tu Pac's material

@SethGreene531 The adult reading of that is having good supporting shoes for the exercises you might find youself doing in adulthood?
@SW-User If you mean fetching the mail with arthritic knees, or doing a half lap around the track wheezing--then yes!
