The only time I ever assert that I'm an American is when somebody mistakes me for a citizen of a different country. For instance, over in the King Charles group, I mentioned that I don't care for the man, but I hope he recovers because that's a terrible way to go, and somebody asked why I don't like "my king".

He ain't mine.
