Smothers Brothers -- long before their television show

At the very end of their version of this song, there is a comic reference to a certain series of television commercials seen in the US in the 1950's and 60's. The live audience recognizes what they did.....but do you?

Explanation: Back then, there were commercials showing a young blonde woman, walking along, doing various activities, and on dates with a man, while the male announcer repeats the tantalizing question, "Does she?.....Or Doesn't she?" Finally he adds, "Only her hairdresser knows for sure." It's an ad for Clairol hair dye.

They seemed to assume that the only dye women would be interested in was blonde. They had other commercials posing the question, "Is it true blondes have more fun? Be a blonde and see!"

I didn't catch the name, but I remembered that giggle at the end.
