Discovering New Music entry #5

I like the music, but the song as a whole is underwhelming. I expected a little more than it just paying the same chords over and over for most of the song.



Paramore once again. Last time, the song I checked out wasn't enough to get an add. But this song is definitely an improvement! A little repetitive, but I think I can work with it. It gets an add.



Nice and upbeat! 😄



My first thoughts were that it was just okay, but once the beat kicked in, it really started hooking me. I'll add it!



I like it! Good vibes and catchy.



Not bad, but not doing enough for me. I'd check out another song from the album, but this is the only one available so far since it's yet to be released. Maybe I'll come back to these in the future when they another song or the album and they'll have one that grips me a little better. Until then...

Oof! 😣 It's about on the same level with the last one. I want to like it, but it's just not enough! We may revisit this album when it's released, but I'm thinking this band can put out a new song I'll enjoy better! We shall see.

Damn! Based on the song title, I was hoping it was going to be cover of the Blue Öyster Cult song of the same name. 😂 No matter, this song was pretty lovely anyway. Not sure why it's called what it is since the lyrics don't seem to have anything to do with Godzilla. 🤔 Again, no matter. I like it!



That's a funky beat! I'm willing to add it just for that, lol.



Apparently this is a remake of this band's signature song "Best Day of My Life". I'm familiar with the original and it's an okay song. This one is about the same. Not bad, but no add.



It's alright. It has catchy verses and riffs, but it's also a bit lacking in originality. It comes close, but no add.

This doesn't do much for me. But to be fair, it is a short song, so I'll check out another.

Hell no! As soon as I heard that whiny auto-tuned voice, I knew I was going to hate this. Yuck!



Not as creative as their band name, lol. But it's okay. Only just, though.

Heavier than what I normally hear from this band. It has some hooks, but I'm not feeling it enough this time. Maybe when more song from this upcoming get released.



Not bad, but it's a bit underwhelming. Even when it picks up with the guitar bridge, it feels like it could be a bit more energetic than it is. For lack of a better way of describing it, lol. In any case...



Has a nice riff that doesn't get old. Not totally with the singing, but I suppose it's passable...



Oh, I love this! As soon as she started singing, I knew I was going to. 😊 I believe this is the fourth year in a row I've added a song from Arlo Parks to my yearly playlist! I think it's safe to always have high expectations from her at this point. 😄



These guys again. Last time, they had a song that caught me at first, but ended up losing me. This time, the song hooked me and kept hooked! It's very catchy! This is why it's important to revisit bands sometimes, they may put out a better song than I liked the first time around.

This is a tough one! I enjoy all three songs... But this one is speaking to me the most, so I'll give this an add. But I might have to give this whole album a listening to. It's rare for me find multiple potential adds for single album.
