Bonnie Raitt.

@katydidnt I thought Bonnie Raitt was famous for being a blues guitarist/singer.

@ChipmunkErnie She is, but to me her world-weary, smokerly voice sounds as country as any of them. If not true country, it at least rhymes.
@katydidnt . She only gets played on radio stations that play rock music, where I stay. So, I would consider her a rock artist, that isn't very good, either. Go, Country Music. True, Country Music. Not some people's answers on some of my poles. Never heard, Metallica, singing country, either. But, City Slickers, are something else. So, who knows where some of these, City Slickers, get there answers from. From, there garbage radio stations they listen to.

@Haleygetsthebelt I probably have a decade or three on you, so I've heard her played more widely, including on TV. Full disclosure: I'm not a country music fan but like individual singles here and there. You're right, IMO, Raitt's not a good fit for rock--at least none of hers I know. And I'm unfamiliar with the artists you've mentioned. I don't listen to rock--I've been living under one. (Which likely makes my vote an outlier.)

@katydidnt Been hearing Raitt for 50 years or so, never thought of her as anything except a Blues artist.

@ChipmunkErnie Maybe I'm going too much on "looks and feels." I just "hear" a country voice when she holds forth. Different strokes.
