CW McCall's only number one hit was Convoy in 1975.
It was Number one on the Country Music chart as well as the Pop Chart
How many of us sang along with this Novelty Song, envisaging being in that Convoy?
Round The World With The Rubber Duck was the follow up song to Convoy.
No where near as popular as Convoy, it reached number 40 on the charts.

@Gusman I'm very pleased to say that "Convoy" also did well in the UK charts. If the American original hadn't caught on here as well, we wouldn't have had this hilarious British parody.

Sorry about that hideous truck in the video. If I'd made the video I'd have made sure it had 70s trucks in it.

@NankerPhelge I did laugh at this. 🙂First time I have heard it.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Gusman It was only a hit in the UK, so I don't expect anyone outside the UK to remember it. It followed the original version into the charts a couple of months later.

@Repete Convoyed?
Repete · 70-79, M
Lol spellcheck must have changed it. 😂 I couldn’t have done that.@NankerPhelge
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Repete I don't know what it is about spellcheck, it seems to fuck up everybody's posts. Why do you think that is?
Repete · 70-79, M
As my kids use to like to say , I-D-KIt got ridiculous whit them because they knew I didn’t like it 😂 @NankerPhelge
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Repete What's that in English?
Repete · 70-79, M
😂 that was my reaction , it means I Don’t Know. Drives me crazy like YW, for You’re welcome or TY for thank you.@NankerPhelge
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Repete I-D-KIt means "I don't know"? Google says it's "ID Kit".
Repete · 70-79, M
@NankerPhelge that’s the problem with doing that. I use to mess with their minds by saying I-D- K. Meaning I Do Know . You need the same code book to understand some of this B-S . 😂 that probably means business school for all I know.
Repete · 70-79, M
But coming back to convoy back then that was speaking a lot of words meaning things we understood back then.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Repete I was asking about "I-D-KIt", not "I-D-K".
