Not ever so struck on him though I like Born To Run, which is about the only work of his I would recognise.

As for whatever American political party he, as an American, supports, I have no view as that is his business.

@ArishMell Try "Badlands" or "Thunder Road". Great songs.

@SW-User I expect they are but I don't know if I have heard them or not! What I have heard him singing occasionally, did not sink in, nor strike me as especially memorable. May be it's because we have been so flooded with music for the last 50 years and more, that a smaller and smaller proportion sinks in.

@ArishMell I actually think he is a great poet. Some of his lyrics are memorable, even without the accompaniment of loud music!

"Is a dream a lie that don't come true, or it it something worse?"

(From "The River")

But yes, we are flooded with music, and the words that go with it. A lot is superficial. Yet each to their own.

Thanks.

@SW-User OK. Thank you. I'll try to listen more carefully when I next hear him.

@ArishMell I still love seeing the late great Clarence Clemons on sax when Bruce's E-Street Band plays live in videos.

Reading Bruce Springsteens's auto- biography he spoke of the very early days of the group and said how virtually every cent they earned went towards paying Clarence's maintenance costs for the children he had sired! They needed him in the group despite the drain on finances.
