There must be some age restrictions for the profiles with top national responsibility.

@4meAndyou In India there is also no restriction as to maximum or retirement age for Prime Minister. Although here someone can become PM after attaining 25 years of age. But the political party such as BJP has unwritten rule of retiring politicians from ministerial and organizational positions on attaining the age of 75 years.
If the BJP wins the 2024 parliamentary election(which is likely) and Modi becomes PM for the third consecutive term, he may step down as PM after September 17, 2025 as he will complete 75 years of age. This may happen if the BJP strictly follows the unwritten rule on age of its leaders on ministerial and party posts.

@ABCDEF7 You seem to have a great set of rules...even if they are unwritten. I think it is important to evaluate each person, medically if necessary, because some people are junk at age 75, and some are sharp and full of energy and very vital.
I wish we had such a law. Our current President is barely competent, mentally, and there are plenty of others who are almost the same age who could run rings around him.
