@SandWitch I have no idea when they started learning different languages. I learned French in school in the 2000s (I left school in 2006) and our French teacher was a genuine French woman named Marie Tessier. She liked us to address her as Mademoiselle Tessier. We didn't study other languages in school but there are colleges who do courses on various languages for those who want to learn them. I live in a multicultural city so there are people from various countries here.
