Are there any guitarest here?

If so are you a Fender or Gibson fan? If neither what is your favorite brand? I was strictly a Fender and Gibson fan for the longest. Now I find myself buying other brands. Some are really cheap and good others are just cheap. I would like to know what others find and if you have any good recommendations. Like a bang for buck thing.

@spandexblue: Everyone I know that has one usually just goes with whatever comes standard. I'm thinking it's the '57 Classic.
