At age 15/16 I would have been too young to travel from England to the US unaccompanied - but the following Summer I went to both the Bath Festival and the Isle Of Wight (Jimi Hendrix last major gig).

No. I hate crowds. The festivals I have been to weren't fully enjoyed. Maybe if I was a dude Id have felt safer

No I actually hate festivals. I wish I liked them, I've been to a few and I'm not that dedicated to it. I like a concert, but I want to go home and be dry and not walking through mud and piss and vomit.

A friend of mine wanted us to hitchike there, about 500 miles. It was billed as an arts & crafts fair with music and I didn't see much point in hitchhiking that far to see some clay pots and tie-dyed t-shirts. I didn't know what the music was.
