Knights and Bandits in Europe. For some reason they brough that style of music to Mexico.

[media=https://youtu.be/IDb_0RfL2MA]
They were guarding a stash
on the 16th of February
in the year 2002—
Saúl and his companions,
Alan Gilberto and "El Toro,"
great and sincere friends.

They had stayed up all night,
happy and drinking,
but they didn't realize
that Death was lurking nearby;
they were concealing a grenade,
fingers caressing the fuse.

When Death comes for you,
it gives you no time for anything;
Saúl was a brave man,
with a loyal crew behind him—
a true fighting cock of the arena,
he feared nothing at all.

A massive explosion
scattered everything to the winds;
Saúl fell lifeless
in that very moment,
while "El Toro" gathered up
his nearly dead companions.

Saúl was a fierce fighter,
who had faced many arenas—
a man so helpful to others,
but a lover of women;
may God hold him in glory,
may God have forgiven him.

With a *banda* playing,
they carry him to the cemetery;
his brothers wept for him,
his parents even more so:
"You are leaving, piece of my soul,
son of my heart."

That ranch of La Choya—
what a hidden place it is,
the stronghold of the Flores clan;
I say it with great pride—
men of great talent,
and very good friends.

Fly, fly, little dove,
all across the state;
tell them Saúl died
from staying up all night.
I entrust my children to you,
and I entrust "El Clavo" to you as well.
