“Steal My Sunshine” – Len

“Steal My Sunshine” was recorded by the Canadian band Len and released in 1999. To date, it’s Len’s only hit single. I like the song, even though it’s a bit schizophrenic.
The music is catchy and upbeat. It has a ‘70s disco flavor, achieved by sampling and looping the bridge from the 1976 disco hit, “More, More, More.” The lyrics are open to interpretation, but to me they seem like the words of someone who’s messed-up on drugs and/or depressed. In any case, the song somehow works, and some consider it one of the best summer songs of all time.
