The guitarplayer of the band Golden Earring that played that song died yesterday, aged 77.

He was suffering from ALS, a progressive muscle dissease.

Rest in peace George Kooijman.

They are a Dutch band, and they still played till a few years ago.

@Thewhazzupdude I mean, I know Radar Love and Twilight Zone. That's probably the extent of what most Americans know about them. Still, they're considered a definitive band. Pioneering, you might say.

@LordShadowfire You should look up 'when the lady smiles' that song was banned in America, because in the video a nun was molested in a train, but the song is perfect.
