They did do a great rendition of this classic Steppenwolf song. I don’t judge better/original on recordings or live performances I just look at them as different, but that’s only my take on it.

@TheShanachie I get what your saying I suppose I worded it wrong. Music is a suggested choice that some like some don't. But that song the mule kicked that song out the park. Plus Warren is my homie even though he's not living here anymore

@MissNen oh yeah!! 👍! Government Mule has always been a kick ass live band I used to see them often at UGA in the early 1990s. They did pump some real fire into this song and brought it up to today’s standards.
