Anybody a classic rock fan but don't like blues very much?

I love bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Cream, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Jethro Tull, Queen, Rush, Styx, Yes, Pink Floyd, and way too many more but I can't get into artists like BB King and a lot of blues artists in general. Buddy Guy has a few songs I like, so do Muddy Waters and Keb Mo' but I can't seem to enjoy a lot of pre rock and roll blues artists. I do like Mississippi John Hurt however. I know it's ironic that I like the bands I listed but not the musicians that influenced them. I might not enjoy a lot of blues music but I have a massive amount of respect for it and I do acknowledge it influenced rock and roll.

It's absolutely fine if you do not like blues, mate. Choices and opinions vary from person to person. To classic rock and the God of guitar, Jimi Hendrix. 🍻 I must play All Along the Watchtower now. Incendiary!🤘😈

Stevie Ray was essentially Texas blues. Clapton's entire career was blues focused as was Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin for the youngsters). The Rolling Stones chose their name from lyrics from a Muddy Water's tune. And of course the Beatles and Hendrix were majorly influenced by the old blues greats.

@carpediem it's ironic I like SRV, Clapton, Zeppelin, and the Stones but just can't get into the blues artists that influenced them.

@storykid That’s ok. Each to his own.

Eric Patrick Clapton (born 30 March 1945) is an English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter.

Led Zeppelin was heavily influenced by blues music, incorporating it into their hard rock and heavy metal sound, with songs like "When the Levee Breaks" and "In My Time of Dying" showcasing their blues roots

Black Sabbath's roots lie in the heavy blues rock scene of the late 1960s, influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Cream, and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers.

Shall i continue ?????

@pdockal I know that. I wasn't trying to deny the influence blues had on rock, I was just saying it's ironic that I like the bands I listed but not necessarily the artists that influenced them.
