I recently joined a studio jam band and wanted a very small, portable, versatile pedalboard.
I bought the NUX Amp Academy but everything else I had or were repurposed.
I put two pedals on that are versatile. The Sonicake can give delay and/or reverb. The Mooer is really great with me using Chorus, Flanger, Phaser and Rotary sounds straight away.
All within a footprint roughly size of an A4 sheet of paper. I can just turn up and plug in now with sound I'm confident with.
Wow,that little Mooer is very charming,might look into one of those. Versatile and right to the point. I have some kind of old Boss rig with too many features,a few are really weak like the Laughable Leslie and I spend time trying to remember where the ring modulator is for when I want the bwharrk. So, the Nux is an amp modeler? Or a super preamp? I am very interested in that voltage regulator thing in the back.I need to streamline. I ordered a Stylophone/theremin back in August and apparently it went on the slow boat and will arrive soonish. My best new secret weapon is an Orion UAFX tape echo.A fraction of the price and gives me space echo powers and even has 'worn out,wonky and old " setting to emulate magically damaged units. Win. Plus it fits into my Nasa-"I need my space" lunchbox I found for a dollar. Custom budget HiFi all the way here. Enjoy your streamlined tone,mate! Less to carry and plug in is always good as we age.
@dubkebab yep it's a amp modeller but has limited options compared with others. Easy to use. Editing is via computer app via USB cable.
The mooer is really good for me.
The nux draws at least 500mA hence using that power supply rather than daisy chaining off single supply. This one has several 100ma outs and a 1A I use for the NUX.
