I don't think I know a single song all the way through (piano/keys) I'm the same haha I just play parts. There are no rules, I just play to enjoy it.
It's only really important if you're in a band and they need you to play all the way through. Otherwise just have fun.

It depends on how difficult the song is. I have learned dozens and dozens of songs over the years and have written dozens and dozens of songs over the years on guitar and piano. Probably a week to learn a song. Plus these days it's even easier you can just look up on the internet how to play the song.
Here is a perfect example. I have always loved songs by The Eagles. Here's how to quickly learn one of my favorite songs by The Eagles. Lying Eyes. A couple of hours.

It think it depends on the song. My daughter plays guitar. A John Cougar Mellencamp song, or a Bryan Adams song? 5 minutes or around half an hour, max. A Steve Vai track? (Her hero) That can take months or years.

Depends on the genre and how easy or difficult it is. Almost instantly after listening a bit, when I started drums, I learned Back In Black and We Will Rock You. Also I haven't mastered it just yet, but I know for the most part how to play Beverly Hills. I love Weezer and it's a very easy song to play on drums. Drums are very fun btw.
