With streaming services available. most people probably do not. However is it still worth having the physical media? Some have been buying vinyl, though at outrageous prices in my opinion.

I still buy music on CDs, and then rip them onto a hard drive. In fact I have been buying used CDs off from eBay and enlarging my collection. One seller offers 100 assorted CDs without cases of a wide variety of musical.genres for under $20. That is less than buying 2 musical releases on digital.

Anyway, any thoughts?

I still listen to music on CDs and LP records as well as having a number of DVDs.
I don’t use streaming services (though I’m considering them for my TV).
I recently got a Blu-Ray player when my old CD/VCR player broke down (I had very few VCR tapes anyway).

@OverTheHill We’re moving into a 55+ condo unit, so we’re downsizing....everything will be on 1 floor (no basement and no upstairs). I’m taking the CDs, LPs and DVDs, but not getting another VCR ("Turn on my VCR, same one I’ve had for years”...but not any more).
