How long do you go without your favorite music?
I love classic rock and I'm in a slump right now. I don't enjoy like I did before but I want to again. Should I just wait a while and explore other genres I like?

Back a long time ago, we didn’t have the genre "classic rock". Which I always thought was a restrictive and stagnant term. Every tune is well known and nothing new added. Also there were a lot of record stores to spend hours browsing.
It’s a matter of exposure. In high school, I took a music appreciation and history class. Because of this I wanted to challenge my ears and go a different path. Sort of enjoyed being a snob.
Having the internet exploded everything. About 85% of my current collection never gets commercial airplay. I suggest you get out of your comfort zone. Rolling Stone magazine recently lhad an article of the best 250 guitarists of all time. Though it’s very flawed, you can check them all out via YouTube.
