Do you like John Mayer?

I like her version a lot. I spend some time today trying to learn the song myself. Not that hard, but it will take a bit more practice since they are not chord shapes my fingers are used to playing. Also my fingers are sore now.

He's an incredible player. Someone referred to his career as "reverse selling out". Saw a few clips of him with Dead and Co. and was blown away.

@uncalled4 Cool phrase, "reverse selling out." I think from what I've seen it probably seems accurate. But I'm curious what that phrase means to you? In what ways did he "reverse sell out?"

@ShadowSister He started off as a pop star, then he formed a trio with Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan, and he was often seen with Buddy Guy live, too. Weird to see the teenyboppers there to see him enjoying Buddy Guy, too. Now, he seems to have successfully morphed into a guitar hero. As far as I know, no one has ever done that successfully before.

@uncalled4 Now that I've been watching some of his videos, YouTube keeps recommending lots more for me. I was really impressed with this interview. I can see that being a star creates its own set of overwhelming pressures.

@ShadowSister He was getting to be a little much, dating Hollywood stars and such, but power to him. I can't say I wouldn't do the same.
