Do you like Culture Club?

I don't like them myself but this one has been on the radio today.

This was the best selling single of 1983 here in the UK.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@Jacko1971 Not sure that had the same meaning back then, or maybe it did!
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
@GeniUs I've seen Ace Ventura. I haven't seen The Crying Game.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@GeniUs I'm sure it was just a bit of innocent fun.
SW-User
Not really. I especially dislike this song.
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
@SW-User I don't like it myself, I just wondered how popular it was on here after hearing it on the radio.
SW-User
Church of the poison mind is a good song.

Loving would be easy if you're colours were like my dreams.
Red, gold and green. Red, gold and green.
HairbrushDiva · 31-35, F
@Jacko1971 How can anybody be colours? 🤔
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@HairbrushDiva Boy George was once asked what was a Karma Chameleon. He replied that there were plenty in this industry. A Chameleon can change it's appearance to blend in. I think he was referring to flaky, insincere people. Fair weather friends.
The song contains lines like
You come and go
And
You string along
I think he is singing about a woman (or possibly a man) that doesn't want to commit to a relationship. Someone who's signals he has trouble understanding.

It reminds me a bit of the Elvis Presley song Moody Blue

Moody Blue
Tell me who I'm talking to
You're like night and day
And it's hard to say
Which one is you.

@Jacko1971 You said "Loving would be easy if you are colours were like my dreams". That doesn't make sense, does it? How can anybody be colours? 🤔
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
karma chameleon was quite catchy, but otherwise, they were not my thing.
