@HairbrushDiva I used to listen to the radio frequently when I was a child, whether it was in the morning while having breakfast, or while in the car, being driven to and from school or on a family roadtrip. There were a few moments to my recollection at that time where I've listened to music on record, cassette, or compact disc. Towards my teenage years, I began watching music videos that aired on television started listening to music on records, cassettes and compact disc more and more as the years went on and began doing mixtapes as a way of not only having a physical copy for myself of songs I've heard on the radio, but also to recreate the order in which I've listened to said songs, as I have heard them. (without commercials or news and weather bulletins between songs) The second reason I make mixtapes, is to catalogue music. (it's a hobby of mine) And the third reason I make mixtapes is to have something to listen to on my walkman during a blackout.

@Sidewinder My friend Samantha is a nightclub DJ and she makes mixes of selected dance tunes. She has about 300 discs that she made herself, each one containing about 80 minutes of continuous dance music. Are your mixtapes anything like that?
