Nick Cave - Cosmic Dancer (original: T.Rex)

[media=https://youtu.be/wc7mDChiiNU]

I was dancing when I was twelve
I was dancing when I was twelve
I was dancing when I was out
I was dancing when I was out

I danced myself right out the womb
I danced myself right out the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon?
I danced myself right out the womb

I was dancing when I was eight
I was dancing when I was eight
Is it strange to dance so late?
Is it strange to dance so late?

I danced myself into the tomb
I danced myself into the tomb
Is it strange to dance so soon?
I danced myself into the tomb

Is it wrong to understand
The fear that dwells inside a man?
What's it like to be alone
I liken it to a balloon

I danced myself out of the womb
I danced myself out of the womb
Is it strange to dance so soon?
I danced myself into the tomb

No this version has quite lost the effect Marc Bolan made with this song. This version sounds like a music teacher who has never heard the original yugh horrible
@Royrogers I know how we get attached, and it becomes personal. I love Queen, for what it's worth. Not that familiar with Marc Bolan, himself. It's probably how the song took me instantly in how Nick would be singing that gave it that personal touch for me.

@thewindupbirdchronicles that’s because you are young and missed slade, marc Bolan pink floyd and Eric
@Royrogers I know Floyd well... and I'm guessing you mean Clapton, know him well too. I was more talking of the spirit of the performance.
I can't listen at the moment, but this part in the lyrics grabbed my heart strings🥺.....

@MoonlightLullaby That's what caught me listening, beyond his ability to convey images in such a melodic musical way. You can't hear right now, but that might also be my love of him speaking. First, listen for me. 🙏
@thewindupbirdchronicles I'll listen ( for you ) when I can. Promise 🌷
