SW- what is a relatively unheard song from the 80's thay you feel needs to ride again?

By way of example:

Tears for Fears - Catchy song

Indeed @scorpiolovedeep. Despite their high fashion, this is a belter of song crafted with simplicity and a lot of thought. Thank you.

You can ask why, I think the 80s were great at promoting themes of non judgment, this echoes it well, while we now on social media ridicule what we don't know?

Cool song @thewindupbirdchronicles. But why does he sound like he's singing with a bucket on his head? Very interest point you make my friend.
@RoaringLion Artistic imperative? Ask him.

@luckranger71 Okay, I listened to this because you posted it. I don’t remember ever hearing it before or of Chris Cross.

You are one of my absolute faves on here but the song seems pretty trumpery. 😩

Sorry!

This Christopher Cross song paired with the 1983 NCAA Tournament always gives me the feels.

This sure does still effect a stir within @luckranger71. Awesome post.

Thank you @Gusman. The simplest of musical structures sometimes provide the perfect backing for passionate feelings to flow through- especially with a voice like that. Cheers.

You've a knack @SethGreene531, for posting these songs with trance inducing synth work. Well played.
@RoaringLion Thanks much, the synth stuff always finds me. Best part of 80's music...and the drum pads IMHO.
RoaringLion · 51-55, M
A kindred spirit @SethGreene531. Thank you my musical friend.

Kathy Troccoli, there's another first for me @SethGreene531. Sort of starts of like a lot of songs in the same vein. But her voice continued to grow on me with bursts of shuddering excitement by the end. Thank you for this.
@RoaringLion Me too. she was a multi genre artist. Discovered her on a small radio station in 2005, her style grew on me, with the repetitive bursts of the chorus.

Wowsers! I think "captivating" may be the operative word @dubkebab. Is that the Burundi drummers on rhythm there? Is this how an olden day missionary might have felt locked in a cage watching the natives dance and prepare the camp "for dinner"?

I remember someone saying about them on stage: "What!? There's only two of 'em". Lol. If it ain't broke don't fix it eh? Great pick @SW-User, if only I could re-hear it for the first time.
