What is it about music?

I see on here and in real life that many (maybe most) people are almost addicted to music, and while I have some favorites, I listen to music maybe a couple of times a month. Even then it's only in the car.

So, for you that can't live without music, what's the deal?

Oh I guess I could live without music but I just love it, but mostly singing is my heart. Strange thing is, when I sit around my apartment I don't turn music on. I enjoy quiet, reading, and thinking about different things, instead of turning music on. I used to listen to it all the time in my car but I don't even do that.

Sometimes I will turn my favorite songs on and sing to them. I love to watch the oldies videos on YouTube and sing to them. I have sang all my life. I had a gift for singing Alto in first grade and I didn't even know that until I was in first grade in music class. It just came as natural to me as any thing could and I really enjoyed the harmony, along with the rest of the class. I was the only one that same alto. lol and never stopped, yet I am saying in public at a wedding and the rest of the time in church in front of everyone, since about 1965.

@LadyGrace That's really nice, thanks for contributing your thoughts.

I'm an awful singer, just terrible, but it doesn't stop me from screeching along to my favorites songs. 😆
@SumKindaMunster 🤗❤️ that's okay. Just as long as you're having fun.
